As predicted the Alaska meeting went nowhere. When I tried to watch the facts, journalists were interviewing a body language expert in lieu of any factual discussion. This is one of the many problems; a constant relentless seesaw of emotions, between hope and fear, without anything constructive.
The reason that I am no longer talking about it, much less write about it is because it's pointless and aggravating and unhealthy. Everyone needs to vent about this every now and again and I am not minimizing what is going on, far from it, but even if we were dealing with the greatest government of all time I do not want to discuss it every day on every platform.
There are other reasons as well.
I have also seen people immediately react with conspiracy theories without any understanding of what any of this is about. The old saying of knowledge is power is much better than the constant doom and gloom.
While thinking of seesaws, I also thought of bullies. The kid in the playground who is ruining fun play for other kids. They've always been with us. Seesaws require cooperation, I don't think there's a single child that hasn't made the experience of being stuck at the top, only for the other kid to jump down, roaring with laughter. There are simple solutions: yell at the other kid, only get on seesaws with bouncy tires and refuse to play their game.
I'm curious; if I were to objectively explain the geopolitics behind all of this is anyone interested?
Go ahead my Friend, I don't think this Summit was for nothing, but, I also don't think it had anything to do with what they pretended it did either. And I'll leave it at that.

DeleteI think it was about putting Donnie Two Dolls in his place by his Master becoz he'd been talking too much smack and forgetting who Owns him. He's owed a lot of Dark Money to a lot of Bad Actors a very long time. He hasn't been able to get a Loan from American Banks for a very long time due to how much Bank Fraud he perpetrated and non-payment of his Debts to whoever he owed. However, when you Owe any Bad Actor a lot, they Own you and will make sure you repay them any way they deem fit for you to. I'd venture to guess a lot of folks have the Goods on this Guy, his Track Record is rife with Criminal Activities, and yet, there's probably still a lot he is doing that is either not known or covered up and being Paid Off in Hush Monies and Favors... especially now he's President of the United States. I can't overstate that this Prez isn't smart enuf to orchestrate all he's doing, and the Brains behind what's being rolled out certainly ain't in his cognitively diminished Head that no amount of Money his Rich Daddy had could Buy that Son an Education. No telling when they were in that Limo, what was swapped, he sure was very Ass Kissy again with Putin, then his Countenance sure switched after the Summit, so I read a lot into what he DIDN'T say afterwards. Tho' what he did say was sure the flip-flop. I'm not of the opinion he's being Played at all, he IS their Boy, so, he'll be doing THEIR Bidding and THAT is The Play.

It may well be stressful and upsetting to follow the news, to read reliable sources and accountable media outlets etc. all with the excuse of needing a break or even having to stay away for the sake of one's sanity but, seriously, folks, what a fat sense of entitlement is that.
ReplyDeleteIf you are not interested in politics, politics will sooner or later become interested in you. Stay informed even if it hurts.
When the newsletters accumulate faster than I have time to read or scan them I have to delete. But it doesn't mean I am purposely being uninformed. SM accounts give short concise reports.

Delete@Sabine it's not entitlement. It's out of context because of other misinformation I read on other sites that are the "good guys", and there's a lot of ignorance. I also have the choice to disengage because it's not changing anything at this point.

Sure, what's your take but I read others who are well informed as well and get their take. This meeting was never going to produce anything relevant to stopping the war in Ukraine regardless of Trump's arrogance because Putin's goal is to recreate the USSR. He won't stop with Ukraine if he succeeds. I think Putin's purpose was to manipulate Trump into giving him legitimacy on the world stage and to remind him that he, Trump, is beholden to Putin and Russia for a variety of reasons. Trump was exhibiting some independence re Ukraine threatening severe sanctions. Putin's smirk, Trump's hangdog expression at the end says it all. Trump has been brought to heel and now supports Putin again. Who knows what went on in the official limo ride with just the two of them.
ReplyDeleteCodex: Not wrong, but not the reason. It wouldn't be my take but political and historical fact. Little to do with my personal opinion. Much of it is out by now, but people are being refocused on other things.
