A writing challenge

 Hello fellow bloggers

I'm creating a writing challenge: I'll start, you continue with a sentence or paragraph in the comments. Only one rule. It has to be positive. It can be mysterious or whatever direction you choose, but it has to be positive.

Update: My mistake. You continue were the last person left off until there is a short short story. No reason, just fun what type of story can come together as a collaborative project. Continue the story and comment as often as you wish, even after I post something else until the story is finished.

Eron opened the door and was greeted by  sunshine filtering through the clouds, a rainbow visible in the distance. This was a good day to complete a special errand he had been anticipating. As he walked down the path he noticed an object glinting on the ground. As he picked it up it turned out to be a

  4. Codex: As he walked toward the coordinates it led to an old bottle half buried in the dirt of an unusual shape. this will make a nice addition to the collection on the windowsill, he thought to himself. The bottle contained a small cylinder. He upended the bottle and removed it. It was a clue leading him to the next destination.

  6. Does this mean one? Or is there a pair? His skin prickled, that sudden feeling he wasn't alone. Was he being watched? Unsure what to expect, he whirled around...

  7. Nothing, no one. Just his heart thudding around like a shoe in the dryer. You're overreacting, he thought. And yet this feeling he wasn't alone...he couldn't shake it. And then a realization; it felt like the only explanation! He had missed something among the previous clues. I must retrace my steps...

  8. Codex: with a start he woke up. He tried to fall back asleep to continue the dream. To no avail. What a strange dream, the wisps still hanging around as he was slowly pulled to consciousness. Half of two, what did it mean? After he made himself breakfast, he walked out the front door and was greeted by  sunshine filtering through the clouds, half the curve of a rainbow visible in the distance.

    1. Codex: I figured it might not be completed in a short form and didn't know where you were heading. Thanks. Saw half a rainbow that morning so I guess I cheated. *winks* Wonder how many stories are written that way. Made it circular. Fun. Yes. We should.
